December's POWER SOUL TRAINing Line Dance of the Month - The What Stop

See above for videos from Instagram showcasing our December POWER SOUL TRAINing Line Dance of the Month. As always, try it for 5 minutes (length of the song) starting (s)LOW intensity and working up to the higher intensity options for some, most or all of that time!

Suggested Music? New Orleans Bounce and DJ Jubilee's The What Stop (available here) - it even includes a little freestyle break in the middle!

Basic Moves?  Remember, like most of our PST Line Dances, you can always make it your own but there are four basic starter moves (described below with their high intensity option listed):

  • SLIDE to the right
  • SLIDE to the left side
    • Wanna go HIGHer intensity with this move? Make the slide more of a jump to each side
  • WOBBLE - "deep" to the right and left
    • Wanna go HIGHer intensity with this move? Take it down to the floor with the "Breakdancer" to each side
  • WORK OUT YOUR HIPS - to each side (right, left, right, left 4 times as you turn)
    • Wanna go HIGHer intensity with this move?  add a jump before you hip squat to each side

  • GET UP - reach up and down
    • Wanna go HIGHer intensity with this move? Jump when you reach up and touch the ground when you reach down
  • GET DOWN - lift each knee and "air pushup"
    • Wanna go HIGHer intensity with this move? REALLY "get down" and squat thrust
  • GET FUNKY - cross the foot and squat (right then left)
    • Wanna go HIGHer intensity with this move? Lift the leg when you cross and/or jump after you squat
  • GET FUNKY - 3 crosses then a squat (right, left, right as you turn)
    • Wanna go HIGHer intensity with this move?  add a jump before you hip squat to each side
