Meet Tanya Leake, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Dance, 200-hour Yoga and Group Fitness Instructor and Laughter Yoga Leader

Who is Tanya Leake?

Tanya Leake is a greens-eating, loud-laughing, dance-performing, recipe-trying, self-loving coach who is passionate about supporting others in re/discovering their best, healthiest selves…and practicing what she preaches herself.

A graduate of Stanford University’s Engineering Program and former corporate IT and strategy consultant, Tanya now leverages her education, skills and experience to help others “train powerfully, nourish joyfully and recover peacefully.”

Tanya is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), 200-hour RYT yoga instructor, group fitness instructor and Laughter Yoga leader, holding specialty certificates in behavior change, women’s health, natural health, sports and exercise nutrition, nutrition therapy and nutrition science.  She practices a holistic approach to health and being WELL and offers consultant, speaker, trainer, facilitator, and performer services. 

She is the self-published author of GET A GGRiPP: The Health and Wellness Movement Rooted in Cultural Traditions, and an upcoming second book, Vegetablarian: A Mouthful. 

Tanya volunteers as co-lead of the Research Committee on the Board of Directors of the The White Dress Project, advocates for women's health with her initiative WeKNOW (Women embracing Knowledge Necessary for Our Wellness) and co-hosts the Black social/political podcast "No Stupid Questions Show."

The train-nourish-recover-EmBODY WELL framework is the evolution of Tanya Leake’s personal journey to develop a holistic approach to physical, mental, emotional, social, professional, and existential balance, re/discovery and awareness.

EmBODY WELL itself is an evolution of the sensual movement. The phrase the sensual movement represented Tanya’s personal movement to create awareness of the importance of experiencing fully through all 5 senses to enable the full richness of our best selves.
