Why EmBODY LOVE?

Because I wanted to go deeper, beyond self-care.  Following the holistic belief that uterine fibroids are linked to women’s relationship hurt and trauma, after my fibroid surgery, I intentionally embarked on a period of personal reflection and exploration, forgiveness, and, of course, love. Based on this journey, I have packaged the activities that successfully brought me more personal peace, power and joy in the EmBODY LOVE series. 

What is “EmBODY LOVE?”

Brought to you by certified coach and instructor, Tanya Leake, EmBODY LOVE is a hands-on, interactive series of small group sessions designed to support participants in re/discovering their self/love.  Participants reflect and explore activities grounded in positive psychology and cognitive behavior to identify and implement individualized strategies to re/discover self/love.  By promoting self-reflection on sources of both positive and negative emotions, participants develop their emotional self-intelligence.  This includes an understanding of not only how they can achieve greater personal satisfaction, fulfillment, and joy but also how they can remove any roadblocks to those goals.  In so doing, they are able to release hurt and trauma, change its impacts on their lives, minds and bodies.  The EmBODY LOVE series is ultimately designed to help women find new outlets/releases for their pain through their joy. 

Although you start with a single EmBODY LOVE 101 session, the entire EmBODY LOVE series can be added on and done as a session a month over the course of 5 months, This gives you the recommended adult-learning time between sessions to explore, practice and integrate the self-love concepts from each session.  According to research on adult learning, adults successfully grasp new concepts more often when they are able to apply them to cope or manage in specific contexts.  The format of the series is also designed to elicit the beneficial “tend-and-befriend response” to stress that women typically exhibit. Along the journey, participants will acquire practical tools, with accompanying support for EmBODY LOVE principles as part of a special EmBODY WELL “retreat package.”

The EmBODY LOVE series is based on cutting edge and published research, science, and solutions.  In designing each module, I have incorporated my experience as a lifestyle, health, and wellness coach, specializing in behavior change, combined with my training and research in cognitive behavior therapy, positive psychology, stress management, adult learning and women’s health.
