Health and Wellness Coaching

What is coaching?

According to the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaches, the client-coach relationship is a collaborative partnership in pursuit of sustained achievement of the agenda and goals YOU set, using strategies and approaches based on YOUR personal values and strengths.

NOTE: Coaching is NOT therapy, counseling or consulting. You will not be told what to do. Your coach views YOU as the expert on your life and what can work for you. Although it can be challenging for someone who wants or is used to being told what to do, your coach is there to help you focus on and develop YOUR strengths to achieve your goals. However, the benefits of your participation in a collaborative, guided coaching process is that the results are more likely to be sustainable.

EmBODY WELL coaching is holistic in nature and, as a lifestyle and behavior change coaching program, focuses on enhancing and including all aspects of well-being/being WELL. This includes physical, mental (intellectual), emotional, professional (occupational), social (relationships), spiritual (existential), environmental (ecological), and financial.

What is the time commitment? How long does it take until I see change?

Unless noted differently, sessions run 30-45 minutes; initial/first session will run longer (1-1.5 hours). Research suggests that an initial 3-month (or 12-session) commitment to the process is recommended to allow time for development of the coach-client relationship, visioning, identification of strengths and goals, action step experimentation, learning and progress.

How much does it cost?

1-on-1 coaching - $85/session

Couples coaching - $150/session

Couples coaching leverages the social support and resource opportunity inherent in any partnership. Sessions run 45-60 minutes. Schedule a chat below if you are interested.

Small group coaching - Variable based on group size (max: 20); starts at $250/session

Small group coaching provides the same support in a small group setting designed to facilitate sharing and development of personal strategies to move you forward in meaningful ways on your health and wellness journey. Sessions run 60 minutes. You can join an existing EmBODY WELL small group (new members can join once a quarter in January, April, July and October) or create your own private group.

Special Focus Coaching Topics and Specialized Coaching Programs (1-on-1 and group only)

EmBODY WELL specializes in self-love, stress, sleep, recovery and rediscovery. Please inquire if these topics are of particular interest to you and your focus areas. In addition, EmBODY WELL offers specialized 1-on-1 and group programs for those diagnosed with fibroids or navigating menopause. Specialized programs have a minimum 12 week commitment and a predefined agenda that will be customized to your preferences and needs. Session rates are same as above.
