The quote above from Warsan Shire resonated deeply with me because it perfectly captures the essence of the self-awareness practices foundational to the EmBODY LOVE Program. But it’s just the beginning—merely the tip of the iceberg. What is deep self-love? Deeper than self-care alone, think of deep self-love as the journey - never a final destination as you will always be changing and growing - to 1) becoming keenly aware of the moments that make your heart sing and 2) leaning into practices that demonstrate self-acceptance, self-compassion and self-appreciation as they truly nourish your mind, body and soul.

Why is this important? By positively growing your relationship with yourself, you are less likely to experience unnecessary stress and more likely to experience joy more often, both of which contribute to improved health and overall wellbeing.

I have always believed in the interconnected power of the mind, body, and soul. When one thrives, the others often follow. Conversely, when one suffers—whether it’s your mental, physical, or emotional well-being—the others are likely to feel the strain as well. This is why becoming deeply attuned to what makes you feel loved and cared for, and recognizing that you have the power to create those experiences, is so vital. By leaning into practices that nurture your whole self, you can foster a more balanced and harmonious state of being.
